tudy the Driver's Handbook thoroughly in order to be ready to pass your written test at an Ontario Government Ministry of Transport Driver Test Centre.   You will be asked questions based on the contents of this Handbook including traffic laws, the rules of the road, recognition, and understanding of lights and signs, safety rules, etc. You must obtain 80% on the test to pass. You must also pass a vision test,  and pay a fee of $125.00. This fee covers your first behind-the-wheel test as well.  Once you successfully pass the written and vision tests, you will get your G1 Permit - your driver's licence for up to five years from the date of issue.
