I. Beginner Driver Education Course  (Driving Course)

You may take our Beginner Driver Education Course whether or not you have a full G Licence. Depending on your license status, if you complete a Beginner Driver Education Course at a G1 level, you may be able to reduce your time at the G1 level from 12 to 8 months. Canadian law requires you to complete the BDE course within one year.  The Beginner Driver Education Course is  40 hours, and consist of 20 hours of In-Class theory training,  10 hours In-Car, and 10 hours of flexible instruction. The "flexible time" is used for home-link that is completed outside of In-Class hours and allows you to complete the exercises on your schedule. Our BDE Courses are Ministry of Transportation approved. They are consistent with the Ministry's Curriculum Standards and other BDE program requirements.   To be certified students must finish all in-class and in-car lessons. Moreover, return homework, and pass the final written test in the classroom and driving test in the car. After the BDE course completion, you will get a certificate from Ministry of Transportation, which you can pick up at any Service Ontario Canada location, or order online.  Registered Student has one year to complete all BDE Course packages purchased from the date of commencement.

I. In-Car  Instruction

Instruction delivered to you by an instructor in a training vehicle with you driving behind the wheel. A maximum instruction time - two hours per day, where there is no classroom instruction for that day. A maximum of one hour in vehicle instruction on the day the student receives five hours of in-class instruction.

II. Driver License History Record- Insurance Certificate

If you successfully complete a BDE Course (Driving Course) in our Driving School in Toronto or in Etobicoke, you may be eligible for a potential insurance discount. You are advised to notify your insurance company of course completion by providing your insurance company with a Driver's Licence History (DLH) which is proof of successful course completion. Globe Driving Academy does not issue paper certificates. We certify students who successfully complete a BDE course on-line through the Driver Education System.

Before you order certificate:

Please contact the school and check if your complete file has been processed and sent to the government to qualify for the document. All In-Class and In-Car reports must be complete before Globe Driving Academy Representatives process your file. There is a $12 printing fee that Service Ontario charges to issue the document. Therefore, if your file is not updated for one reason or another you will lose that $12.

In order to qualify, you must at least complete the basic Beginner Driver Education Program:
20 Hours In-Class, pass the In-Class final test with 80%, submit 10 hours home link consisting of two parts, and complete 10 hours In-car training with a final score 80%.

There are two ways students can Order Driver License History record (Insurance certificate).

1. Walk into any Service Ontario Location, show your ID and request a Driving License History Record. This will be issued right away.

2. Click on the link below and order it online, it will take 10-15 business days to be mailed out.


III. Driver Improvement Course


The program aims to make Toronto roads safer for everyone by reducing high-risk behavior by drivers. This course depends on the circumstances of the student. The Driver Improvement Course refers to students with poor driving record responsible for a vehicle collision, and senior students that have been notified by the Ministry of Transportation that they need to be retested in the car.  This training will refresh your safe driving skills for complex traffic environment, During In-Car lessons, you will recap what is required to pass G2 or G road test, the responsibilities, and consequences associated with driving. This course consists of In-Car Assesment (on road training) only.  In-Car Lessons are one hour each (60 min). Qualified In-Car Instructors deliver this training. For your booked road test, you can use your own vehicle or use our driving school's car.
